About Positive Impact Martial Arts

Serving the Washington, DC and Montgomery County communities since 1995, Positive Impact Martial Arts is dedicated to helping students grow into confident, disciplined, and empowered individuals. We offer family-friendly classes in a spacious training facility with over 5,000 square feet of mat space—designed to provide a safe and energetic environment for students of all ages.

Our program is uniquely designed to do more than teach martial arts—we aim to make a lasting, positive impact on each student’s life. Through a blend of fitness, self-defense, and personal development, we help students build healthy habits, strong character, and lifelong confidence.

Our Story

Positive Impact Martial Arts began as a community demonstration team supporting charitable causes. Inspired by that spirit of service, Master Greg Maye, a 6th Degree Black Belt and certified Master Instructor, founded the school with a mission:

To train exceptional martial artists who use their skills—and their character—to uplift their communities and the world around them.

Our Mission

We believe in developing tomorrow’s leaders by helping students grow both on and off the mat. Our curriculum encourages responsibility, discipline, and service, empowering each student to ask:

"What have I done today to make myself proud—and to make a difference?"

At Positive Impact Martial Arts, we’re not just teaching kicks and punches—we’re shaping confident kids, strong families, and a better community.
